Blink Outdoor & Indoor Launch Campaign

Blink launched a set of completely redesigned smart home security cameras in 2020. In anticipation, my team and I were tasked with planning and launching a full launch campaign that included landing pages, websites, web ads, and even clothing.

I’ve compiled a selection of my work below.

As the sole designer for the project, I handled everything from conceptualization to wireframing and testing for both websites. Although I collaborated with a small team of stakeholders, I was responsible for all of the creative work. The Blink cameras were essentially one product sold in two versions, so I needed to create a visual language that would guide customers to the correct product with ease. The Blink Outdoor's visual language focused on exterior features such as porches and backyards, while the Blink Indoor imagery highlighted interior elements such as shelves and pets.

To keep things simple and easy to navigate, I utilized a classic stagger layout that has stood the test of time. I also made sure to give each visual element enough negative space to minimize visual clutter and enhance the user experience, setting it apart from other Amazon products. Due to time and budget constraints, my team and I relied on a 3D artist to create 3D assets that I then incorporated into composites in Photoshop. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this project for me was creating the "simple to setup" illustrations by hand because it wasn’t often that I got a chance to create something like that.
